Great article!!! Thanks to taking the time to post it. I'm just going to put on some short pull back risers. I went through the service manual for my '04 fdxilast night and couldn't find any torque values for any of the scoket head clamp bolts or hex head lower bolts. Do you by chance have any torque value suggestions?

Articles like this need to be referenced in a "HOW TO _____" thread that should be stickied to the top.
It is threads like this that make me check the board every day. Even though I know I can change out my bars and cables and take apart a connector, I read every word you typed and enjoyed it.

Those new bars really make the stock bars look puny.

The torque values should be in the manual on the chart for Critical Fasteners.

What size are the stock bars that come on the Street Bob? I thought they were 12" but your 14.5" look alot bigger that the stocks you took off.
