HD markets some stuff called "Polyoil"?, "polylube"?or something like that . It's in a tube and kinda looks like white Vaseline. Basically it's belt dressing. Works good! And, will last about a month (when well applied).

Mine use to do that all the time! Until I had the front sprocket replaced during some other work. So, I figured it was the well worn Sprocket being that the same belt was reinstalled.....And, the squeak went away.....

Hope this helps...

Best wishes....Tim(HT)

Tried re-tensioning it, didn't make a difference, put a bit of slack in it, no difference, over tensioned it, no difference.

Inspected the belt as best I can without pulling it off the bike and it looks fine. No breaks or tears and the belt profile where I can see it is even and unworn. It rides in the pulley just fine.

Short of swapping it out, any other suggestions as to what i can do about it?
It's driving me nuts, I can hear it over the sound of my V&H pipes to give you an idea of how loud it is.
I had the EXACT same problem... dealership hit it with silicone while testing it (I could not diagnose it from the saddle) and even though everything I have read said not to use "wet" silicone because it will cause debris to gather, the dealership insisted that it was an approved fix - even quoted an alleged tech order. Regardless, it lasted about as long as you say. I tried washing the belt... stopped it for the first few miles and it returned as soon as the belt dried. I tried dry silicone... dry graphite lubricant...the only thing that has worked (for any noticeable period of time / miles is a $2.27 can of Prestone Belt Dressing. It is not a permanent gig either, but lasts longer than anything else I have tried. I just dropped a significant amount of money into other repairs and repairs on my truck, so it will have to do until I can gather the several hundred dollars for the belt repair... but I absolutely could not stand the sound - it was embarrassing to the HD name too.

Default Squeeky Belt??? FIX

After Properly Adjusting your Belt to Specs IF Your Squeak/Squeal remains....In my Experience I have found that Using a Platform Jack to Lift the Rear wheel off the ground.... Be VERY Careful that Bike is Sturdy on the Jack....then Start the Bike and Shift into first Gear...... Let the rear tire rotate at Idle speed and Using a Stick Candle, Carefully and thoroughly Rub the Candle on Both sides and All Teeth of the Belt, Don't worry about applying too much....Lay it to it and allow the Tire/Belt to Rotate for just a bit to allow the Wax to work into the Belt........You are Done...... Squeak is Gone and you've barely got a anything into the Fix..... Except your time..... Well worth it though.... Works for me and Lasts for a Pretty long time..... RIDE-ON...!!!
