Default Cleaning

Hello I'm having a hard time cleaning the grills of the engine of my 2010 FXDB, and there are rusting of bolts and brake disc in my bike, it maybe because I live in a tropical country.. But do any of you know any cheap method of removing rust? And cleaning the wrinkled paint part of a bike?

A small plastic brush and degreaser is good to clean the fins.
penetrating oil on the bolts helps.
PB Blaster is best.
When I wax the bike I wipe the bolts with the wax, Helps in the wet weather.
This year there is allot of rain and flooded roads to ride in.

Pig snot on the engine if it is black. On my gray engine I use bleach white and then clean with water on a rag.
About the only thing you can do for the rust on the bolts is replace them with chrome or stainless.

If the fins are black, spray them and any other black painted parts on your bike with S100 Engine Brightener. That stuff works great!

I went to walmart and got one of those brushes that fit into tight places and have longer bristles. I blend a fifty fifty solution of simple green and water and spray into the fins and gently use the brush to get in between the fins. I use it for the undercarriage as well rinse off and blow dry with a leaf blower and detail with a 100% cotton towel.

S100 Engine Brightener and pig snot are almost the same thing. You get a better deal on the pig snot.
I have used both and I prefer pig snot.
But that is me

I agree on the S-100. I used it last week for the first time and that stuff works good on bikes.
