Default Handle bar/riser question for 2003 fxdl

Would like to know if i could just get taller pullback risers for my fxdl to raise the bars a bit? Which i am sure i can just don't know which ones just yet. any ideas on brands that will use the factory clamp and screws and bolts?
OR
Would Street Bob risers and bars bolt to my bike without an issue.(of course longer brake, throttle and wires will have to be added)
OR
Can i put bolt these to my stock risers without issue? http://www.biltwellinc.com/index.php...ct_detail&p=52

thanks in advance

You could do any of the above. Your imagination is your only limitation (and your wallet) The taller you go, you may have to swap out throttle/clutch/brakelines. You can usually get away with going up a couple inches without modification. Unclamp your current bars, and with the help of a friend, hold them in the position you want, and see if everything clears. Wiring is not a problem, as there is extra wire tucked into the harness. Pay attention to your brake line, as that is one area you don't want to stress the connections.

I put a set of PhatRisers II™ by Scootworks on my 2003 FXDL and was able to still use stock cables and bars for everything. I had these on my Honda Shadow before my LowRider and they worked great on there too. They pull the bars up a little over and inch and back about 3/4 over the stock risers. I do have plans to put a set of mini apes off of a 2007 street bob on. I checked with the local dealership and they gave me a list of cable and brake line part numbers to do this conversion which if you want I can share them with you. About $200 for all the parts to do it, that is just for stock black cables.

actually I just realized the risers are on the bike in my signature pic.

Also i have been looking into this kits from Harley
Curved Handlebar Riser Kit-56266-09

My stock risers are 4 and 1/2" i believe with a 2" pull back and these are 6" rise with 1.70" pullback which brings be up almost 2" higher with the stock bars which is about what i want does sound about right ?

Thanks Nash. For now I think I will just do the risers. But the street bob bars and riser are going to be in my future. Thanks again.

Accually I got HD 6" risers off someone on here yesterday waiting on them to get here. And today I just bought street bob bars and risers on eBay as a set for the future or maybe winter project. So that list will come in handy

Let me know if you get to your project and have any problems or tips to make it easier and I will do the same. Hope the 6" risers work out good for now
