Thanks for the pictures and information. The pictures you posted in gallery were especially helpful. How does the bike handle? any differences? How much closer to you are the bars than stock do you think? When I read the 14 inch pullback I thought they might be too close--imagining peddling a bike with bars way forward and trying to steer. What modifications did you make with cables and wiring?

The bike handles like a dream. The nice thing with the T-bars is the reduced flexing of the handlebars, since the separate riser and bar mount is eliminated. Although the stock cables and brake hose will fit, I opted to change the throttle and idle cables to braided ones and go with a braided brake line for the front brake. I still have the stock clutch cable and will probably leave that alone for the time being. The braided throttle and idle cables were actually shorter than stock more for looks than anything else.
As far as how much closer than the stock bars, maybe 2"-3", not too much, just enough to make them more comfortable. I also find that the hand positioning is better and is more comfortable on a long ride. I put the new bars on over the winter and have logged over 3000 miles with them on so far, no problems at all.
One bonus for the remainder of the riding season if you're so inclined is that the bars can be installed in under an hour with leaving the wiring exposed, so you can see how they will look, get an idea of how comforatable they are and still be able to ride the bike. The replacement should take no more than an hour and then you're free to run the wiring and make any other modifications when the bike is layed up for the winter.
Let me know by post here or PM if you have any more questions.

Noticed on Dglides bike a bracket that is on the risers that retains the speedo/tach assembly. I have a 05 Dyna the upper clamp houses a speedo and keeps the bars in place then bolts to short factory risers. Would like to know if the piece between the risers is available as I would like to have a similiar arrangement. Dyna2005, could not tell what arrangement is present on your bike looks good as well. I would like to install 4-5" risers and a drag bar. However would like to keep speedo /Indicators in approx the same place
so the speedo is not to high and would not have to alter wiring. Any advice would be appreciated. tks

The bracket is made by Accutronix, available in polished aluminum or chromed. Depending on where you buy it from, it's about $85.00 or so, fits like stock and allows the OEM gauge mount to be bolted directly on with no modifications. I like it because on my T-bars, the bracket can be moved up or down the risers to be placed exactly where you want it.
