you cant do it you dont have the correct tools:
very simple install, you need a tig welder, soldering iron, angle grinder, die grinder, 100 gallon air compressor, a cnc machine, owners manual to a space ship, last but not least a plasma cutter, oh yea a timing light and 4 timken bearings
looks like you should take that to the dealer and have them install it for you.....they hear questions like yours from everyone in there, im sure....
Reminds me of when I bought my new '11 SG.
I had left the bike with them to get the front lowers chromed, and They told me they would put on the license plate for me. So while I was there and they were at it, I gave them a chrome license plate bracket to put on(at the same time as the license plate). then on the invoice they had itemized out labor to install the license plate bracket @ $9.00.
I had them remove that charge, but they looked at me like I was stealing from them. I mean REALLY?

I guess I don't understand how you approach a business, ask them to perform a service for you, then complain that they want to be paid for the service.
all good so far guys.. i went ahead and drilled a hole in the fender to put a metal mounting strip on there for the plate and frame. I broke a drill bit the first 2 tries, then the third finally went through. Gotta touch up some knicks.
Now in a little bit i just have to level the license plate then drill holes for that and the frame.
