Ok I'm gonna try installing this but not sure if there is a certain way I need to orient it? Came with no instructions. Been driving me nuts because it doesn't say which side is up or down or what?
And do I need to drill holes? Why are they rectangleish?
Also I will use some red loctite I have to help secure the bolts. Anyone else done this mod??
Do you have the part number? I can look at the archives and see if the instructions are listed there.....Is it an official Harley Davidson part? If not, you might be screwed......
If you're gonna install it on a laydown tag holder, you'll probably have to reem out the holes just a bit since you have to carefully bend it to fit & that shortens it a hair. That's what I had to do to install it on my HogRida tag mount. Worked out OK for me
I must be really lost.....I always thought it was simple to put four bolts thru the four holes in the frame, the plate and the plate bracket and a nut on the back of each bolt and tighten them down and wallah!!! its installed. Is this some kind of special frame that requires an engineering degree to install??? I don't want to bust your *****, but these thread seems like a pratical joke.
