Noob looking for some help...
Just bought my bike about a month ago, I want to change the transmission & primary fluid. I wanna switch everything to a high quality synthetic. I just don't know what weight to use. What are all of your recommendations ??
I use 20w50 in the engine, 75w140 for the trans and synthetic gear oil for the primary. The thicker trans fluid helps with smoother shifting. Not sure if it helps but that's what I've always used.

I've real good luck with M120W50 in the engine oil , M1 syn gear lube in the trans, and SYN3 in the primary. This is on both Dynas. The Syn3 is a bit pricey these days so maybe the newer primary oil from HD might benefit you. I personally think a gear oil would be too thick in the primary and there could be difficulties on cool mornings.

Like they said , do a search. Everyone will go back and forth.
Just try to go with a red colored tranny fluid so if u get a leak u can figure it out easier IMO.
