Default looking to upgrade my 2011 wg

I picked up a 2011 wg basicly stock with just se slipons a few months back. I want to do just a basic intake and exhaust on it and possibly cams over the winter. I was looking at the s&s 583 easy start cams or the se255`s. I was just looking for some input on which cams and tuner would be good. id rather not get a custom tune id like to just use a programmer if possible. thanks, nick

Big first post with big questions that will be hard to answer in a short manner. Not sure I understand your position on Fuel tuner, do you want simple with little user inputs or a real Fuel Tuner that you can have detailed control? I sure like my Power Vision, pretty easy to use, has Autotune, not a piggyback type, but allows a ton of control as you learn more about the tuner ~ $450, recommend buying from Fuel Moto for their Customer Service.

Those 583s might be a little on the big side for a light build.

A BIG +1 negative on the 583cams without headwork/compression bump.

And 255's have no top end, keep checking cams and comp ratios before you decide.

thanks that's what I was looking for. id rather just buy from a place that offers support like that rather then get a custom dyno tune. I went through some problems getting a few friends cars tuned right from dyno shops that's why I learned how to do it my self. im not looking to do anything crazy, just something to add some power, be reliable and easy to tune

Just my $0.02. Unless you feel comfortable with a more complicated tuners, the simple tuners will not give you a very good tune. If you don't want to deal with a tuner, pay to have it done. If you insist on DIY, and you want a good tune, then find a good quality tuner that offers lots of support.
