Love mine! I cent wait to get it back on the road after my idiot encounter. Love the bags, seat, and windshield. Wouldn't trade it for a farm in Texas! I hope you like yours as much as I like mine!

I have ridden hundreds of miles in a day on my new Switchback and even with my back issues I think its very good with the stock seat.
Bags are small- you need to plan a bit, but its nicely done. The suspension is done a little better than the other Dynas, but I am still putting upgrades on my list. I'm not tall and the windscreen creates buffeting on the helmet so I need to figure out something on that. I also think the front brake is a little weak. I will add a detachable storage in back to handle a helmet for longer trips.

I'm glad to hear all the positive comments on the Switchback, its great to know you all as riders like them so much.
I should have looked more closely at the SB when I was purchasing in the spring. Not to totally blame my dealer and they didn't "dis" the Switchback in any way but there was a definite steering away from this bike. Even when I went in this time knowing I wanted the SB they tried to put me on something else.
I'm totally pumped to pick it up and get on the road.

issue
on the front brake if the lever moves more than about 1/4 " you may have the classic bad master cylinder that a lot of us had.. also there was a regulator
recall across the HD line starting in 2011 and in to 2012..

I hear ya Pain. I put 33k miles on a Deluxe and it was the most comfortable riding position I've ever had on a bike but I could not stand the counterbalanced motor. What I wanted was a Dyna Deluxe which HD did not make! I finally traded it for my Dyna in '09 figuring I could get it close if I tried. I'm still working on it. By the time the Swtchback came out (which I would have bought in '09 if it was available) I had done a fair bit with my bike and bonded with the my bob and didn't want to trade again. Still a ways to go, and in the end it will probably resemble the Switchback...
In your shoes I'd have done the same thing. Switchback is a great bike. Can't wait to read your impressions, but then again they might only make me want one more...which isn't going to happen as I just added a 72 to the garage a few months ago. Too soon for a third bike, Ha!

be sure your buffeting is coming over the top, a lot of the guys on the switchback owners site found that a set of fork deflectors got rid of their buffeting
