Hey guys... go figure i finally get to take my own bike out for a ride on sunday with a big group and she is tossing codes. did fluids on her, and then took it for a buzz started to sputter real bad on acceloration. I ran a diagnostic and got P0122 and P0123. So i replaced the TPS sensor. Cleared the codes, took it for a ride this morning and still got the same codes and the bike is still running like ***. I have not been able to trouble shoot it as i had to get into the shop... but would love any ideas where to look next. I was thinking it could also be the MAP sensor... thanks!
I'd take a look and make sure your thorttle and idle cables aren't somehow binding keeping the throttle open at startup. Could pop your A/C off and verify the air intake (forget the name) plate is shut when starting.
no binding in the cables... TPS sensor is brand new (installed last night), blade is closed durring start up... only other thing i can guess is the plugs may need replaced.
The MAP,TP and VSS share same ground but it should throw a P0107,8 p0122,3 and p0501,2 if that is bad. Since you replaced TP and got a repeat, kill them again and if they repeat, check the GY/V DK/W and R/W wires to the ECM

I may be wrong (again) but I think that the throttle plate has to have some gap when closed, it can't be shut all the way. That is how needed to set up my TMax, but it was a few years ago and I don't remember the spec on it, but it was very small. Maybe it's only for that tuner, but it's possible the adjustment changed on your blade.
i am really hoping cleaning up the plug will help... we shall see... first time i have had to replace a TPS sensor, i know on some cars you have to reset the unit, but i did not see that in the manual at all

Do you have the electrical diagnostic manual? If not I can look up how to troubleshoot. I'd take out a voltmeter and check things out while it's all plugged in if you can. Eliminate the sensor and wiring entirely before messing with other things.
