Look on ebay first.....lots of take offs there that might fit but I would get with a dealer parts guy who knows what he is talking about first so you don't buy the wrong stuff. A good dealer parts guy will be able to tell you what fits without customization. Check Dennis Kirk as well. You might also call your insurance company adjuster and find your local guy who buys wrecked salvage motorcycles and see if they have a set.

Oh yeah almost forgot....Welcome to the Forum!!

Not that I know of. You will probably have to change your outer primary case and get the appropriate shaft as well. But you need to talk to someone who knows for sure. There is a HD tech here who's name is Shovelhead Bob. If you look him up in the directory and use the pm function he should know because he is a Master HD Guru. If so..look for a bike that got dumped on it's right side. I would definitely check the salvage people because parts are everywhere. good luck.

ok, ok. next noobie question is this; is the inner primary different from mid controls to forward or is it just the outer? since i can get an insp. cover that has the appropriate hole for the shifter, do i just need the shaft in the primary or is there a hole in the inner as well?
thanks for the patience and the info!
