I can't believe these dealers never got back to me about their 2013s. Guess they didn't really want to sell them. I've accepted an offer for a 2014. Should wrap up the deal and accept delivery on Tuesday.

It's a 2014 Vivid Black Street Bob. I'll install forward controls, drag bars, and a swingarm bag. Dealer will install the security system. They're giving me 20% off the parts and I'll transfer the tags I just renewed in July.

The sticker price for the bike was $13,349 + $390 freight + $505 prep for a total of $14,244. The bike alone out the door was $14,560... minus $8,200 allowance for my Nightster, so the check for the bike will be $6,360. Parts will be another $1,311.

I'm surprised I was able to get them to come down that much on a 2014. One of the three dealers wouldn't budge off $7,800 before taxes and told me he was out of the running. The local dealer matched the price of the dealer 3 hours away. That dealer couldn't do anything else to convince me to make the drive, so the local dealer won out in the end.

Maybe it's not the greatest deal in the world, but the 2014s just came out and I'm pretty happy with the deal I could get. Hell, they wouldn't even go for a gift card or $1k service, so maybe it was a great deal after all.

Now I just have to get the aftermarket stuff off my Nightster before Tuesday.

Edit... Here's a pic from the HD-1 site of what I'll be putting together:

Sounds like you did really well. Sweet setup! We have 6 dealers within a 45 minute drive in Atlanta, with some playing silly back-and-forth price games like a bad car dealership, and at least one who gives you the best deal up front (lower than the best deal from any of the game players). Good for you that you shopped around.
