come to think of it I've also had intermittent problems in the past where the fuel pump wouldn't kick on to start the bike sometimes but pulling the fuses and putting them back usually made it work and after recently putting a dab of dielectric grease on each fuse i haven't had that happen since but did have the snapping, popping, backfiring and dying happen soon after i put the dielectric grease on the fuses but the bike has also been sitting out in the rain every day since putting the grease to it.. good news is when it does the backfireing and dying crap its been early in the ride so im not far from home but usually once it dies and i restart it and rev the hell out of it for a sec its fine.
