Winter project '02 FXD
So what I ended up doing and what I wanted to do were two totally different lists.
What I ended up doing;
-polishing my front forks,
-polishing all of the polished parts on the engine
-getting forward controls (awesome story, see below)
-fixing my turn signal; it broke again today so **** it.
-put a CD over my air filter because I can
-putting a DK products tank lift on it
-getting drunk in the garage a ton
-putting new front brake line on
-putting new grips on
-finding out Jameson is my new drink of choice
-losing/finding extra parts that I guess aren't that essential.
...not necessarily in that order...

So I called the Harley shop to see if they had the forwards for my bike, they did so I scheduled a pickup date; blah blah everythings fine. Come the day they said it was gonna be done I call them and see when they're gonna deliver it back.
"Oh yeah we found your shift linkage was about ready to snap and you had a broken *something* seal so we have to replace all of the seals in your differntial."
"ok well how much is that going to be?"
"About $400 with parts and labor"
"Alright, whatever just do it."
"Alright, let me put this in the system....OH! I found a screw in your tire."
"What?"
"Yeah I was looking at it and there was a screw in your back tire"
"I just got those last August; I dont think I have but 500 miles on them."
"Well let me text you a picture of the screw."
*gets text*
"I'll be damned, alright ****ing do it then; theres nothing I can do."
Somehow a cement screw became lodged in my back tire just so that it wasn't leaking. A $600 job turned into a $1200 job. And to top it off they threw 10 wheel weights on my back tire. Sure its balanced, but it looks like hell. So I got permission to buy some new wheels.

Heres how it looked as of yesterday. (Still have polish everywhere; haven't put the lever back on the spicket to give anything a bath).

I'm debating to leave the front fender off or not; I'll have to see what it looks like when the new wheels come.
