Default Stock seat question

As some of you may or may not know, I just purchased my bike like 2 weeks ago and with all the registration crap and work and the weather, I havent been able to ride it until this weekend.

I rode about an hour and a half and the seat was kind of pretty uncomfortable..basically one side of my *** was hurtin for some reason..

Is this normal with the stock seats?

Stock seats typically suck, yes. Also, is this your first bike? If it is your first bike, or you haven't ridden in awhile, it is also normal for you to have a period of time where your *** gets used to being on a bike.

When I had my sporty I put a springer seat on it and that seat had a literal 1/2 inch of padding, if that. This meant that until my *** adjusted to it the ride was rather uncomfortable. Once I adjusted, however, it was no problem and I could do a couple of hundred miles in a day without flinching.

If you give it time you will likely adjust, but there is a reason that the stock seat is typically one of the first things to be changed on a bike, and that is because 95% of the time they suck.

Nice bike. Welcome.

Yes, the stock SB seat sucks IMHO. I replaced mine with a seat from Sick Saddles and never looked back, I do all-day rides with no issues.

Yessir it is my first bike, I will probably have to put the bike away for the winter in a week or two, so no adjusting for a couple months.

But thanks for the post, atleast now i know its not just me

when only 1 side of my *** hurts its generally because i forgot to move my wallet to my jacket.

not sure about long trips on a streetbob, the fatbob seat is mediocre at best.

Yeah the stock seats are not good for anything over thirty or forty mile rides IMO. It was the second thing I did to mine after the pipes. I went with the Sundowner.
