stripped primary case drain bolt...suggestions please?

That should work for you but if not, the idea of tack welding will definitely work. And if you go that route, it doesn't have to be a tool. A bolt or whatever will work. Something you can torque on. Once it's out its going in garbage anyway.

I've always used a flat washer and a nut, welded right through the center of it and plug welded it to the broken bolt. The flat washer keeps you from accidentally welding on the wrong part (the case). May be more difficult upside down with a stripped allen head.

If your's is like mine, that is a tapered pipe thread plug, and I doubt it's all that tight. Just take the next bigger allen wrench and grind a very slight taper on the 6 flats so it just goes in. Go slow and get it so just a light tap makes it go in about 3/32 or so. Do not wedge it real hard since that tightens the taper pipe plug. Bet it will screw right out. Remember, it turns CCLW and is easy to go wrong way unless you are under it looking up

Just a thought make sure you have a replacement on hand before you start.
