Default primary case fluid

Does anyone know if the primary case holds more than a quart. I'm still waiting on service manual from HD but want to button up my primary after installing forward controls. Appreciate any info.

You need a quart. Holds just a little less. Probably about 27 oz or so. Do the level.

The owners and service manuals for my 07 super glide say the primary takes 1qt/32ozs.

When I put forwards on my 2014 FXDB, I checked the level before draining. When I replaced the fluid, it took the full quart right on the money to achieve the same level.

There are several generations of Dynas out there, for example my 2002 and 2005 take 26 ozs. So what year bike? Safe rule is with bike level, oil touches the bottom of the clutch plates.

Always put 1 quart into the primary of my 2012 FXDF, covers up to the clutch spring and have had no issues so far even with the 120 installed (with heavy duty spring)
