I use these plugs to wash the bike and put them in the pipes for the winter.

If you have space constraints, these jacks will keep your bike vertical, off the floor, give you lots of lift to work on it safely and store them in the corner when not in use.

Would it be best to leave it uncovered or put a permeable cover on it with desiccant inside with it, just to even out the humidity?
The only reason I cover mine is to keep the dust off of it. The main things is you dont want to trap any moisture inside a cover. This year I just have a towel covering my tank

What's the benefit of putting it on carpet?
Moisture barrier

As I run it periodically over the winter, whether to ride or just run it, should I top it off tank with stabilizer, gas or a mix? Or, is that explained on instructions that come with stabilizer?
You mix a small quantity of stabilizer to your gas. For storage I think sta-bil recommends 1 oz to every 5 gallons. Its easy to measure small quantities with the bottle it comes in. For storage I use the marine grade sta-bil mixed with non-ethanol fuel

In the winter I just ride it to the post office and stuff on the weekends, unless there's snow on the road. But its only like 5 miles each way and enough to warm it and keep everything moving, but not so much I die in our recent crazy low temps

They are a scissor jack. You can find them on Ebay, I picked mine up at Princess Auto, our equivalent of Harbor Freight. Paid $60 each.

They are quite stable, my Bob sits on them all winter. They let Bob sit vertical taking up less space. They are great to work on the bike with, I have had them fully extended and the bike does not even jiggle.

i have a metal shed - ive kept my bikes in it for the last 16 years. its unheated and is prone to condensation forming on the roof and walls. roof is now lined with tarp to stop drips hitting the bike . the bike sits on a rubber backed carpet and is covered with a bed sheet .i put fuel stabiliser in the tank . i also spray the frame , all chrome parts ,wheels ,swing arm and underneath tank and seat with ACF50 around the end of october. ive used it for years - bikes always survive the winter un-scathed - quick wash off and polish and im good to go. . i also never put my bike away wet - i use a Blaster to dry it - worth every penny .a battery optimiser is also essential

I also roll bike onto a wood board or plexglass to keep off of concrete. Purpose; just to keep tires off of dry concrete.

Hey Gommee,

Where did you get those flight plugs and what size are they? I assume you are plugging the exhaust?
