wrapped baffle opinion
if you are not worried about the loudness, why are you even pissing with it?
My baffle was so restrictive that I modded it. I had this pipe once before so I knew how to make it the way I wanted it.
Your pipe doesn't need the wrapping in it if that is what you're concerned about.
If you need to lower the tone, try making a lollipop out of a washer and bolting that in.

Personally, I want my pipe quieter. It is just too loud for me, but I don't want to give up too much power getting it there either. I'm trying to find a good compromise.
The first pic is the bike at idle with the stock baffle wrap + moose packing (105db).
The second is after I removed all the stock wrap and put a layer of stainless steel wool, then a layer of the Lexx MXe packing (97db). The Lexx stuff appears to be the same as the Moose packing, but knitted together tightly making it much easier to wrap.
Both were measured in my garage (with the door open) and the meter about 12" from the end of the pipe while idling.
I took it on a 100 mile ride this morning and noticed no drop in power. The sound is slightly more subdued, but plenty loud with extra throttle.
Still no response from Kurt at Bassani on that quiet baffle. I'm pretty disappointed in the total lack of response since he said he was sending it 2 months ago. I'll keep trying until I get the quiet baffle. This seems to be a reasonable solution in the meantime.

The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
So today I decided to go back to the stove rope I had laying around. I stayed with the 3/8 diameter but instead of wrapping it loose so the weave is close knit I instead wrapped it a bit tighter. This made the weave a little more porous and should make it a little louder as well. You can kind of see what I mean when you look closely at the rope in the pic.
I don't care if it's too quiet at this point. Of all the things I've tried the stove rope seems to hold up the best and gave it the best tone. Hopefully, it'll be a bit louder now. Because of the long woven pattern on the rope i don't have to worry about it breaking down over time and flying out, or fraying apart over time like the cloth.
