Default Tune question

I have installed the SE breather and Kerker 2 to 1 exhaust will I be ok to ride it a little till I get my tune and dyno on the 30th ? . 2013 Wide Glide no pinking or pinging and have only put 17 miles sense I installed them. Can this cause any damage.

The standard upgrade equation is...pipes + air = lean++ so tune is in order. Your bike, but I'd wait (JMO).

You will be fine. Plenty of people out there with similar setups and run without a tuner and their engine hasn't blown up yet.

Sorry to offer completely contradictory advice but it will be fine. The advice above is relevant for older (pre-'06) models but since then the bike can adjust OK on its own for stage-1 hardware.

The tune won't be great but it will only be as lean as it was stock and the bike is designed to run like that.

Go ahead and run it till you can get a tune. Think about a Fuel Pak for now. You can always sell it when you're ready to upgrade.

I have a fuel pak and xieds from nightrider.com and they work very well together. The plugs look great, no signs of a lean condition. The fuel pak was already on the bike when I got it so I am just out the cost of the xieds

when I just added just an exhaust my bike did fine until I accelerated hard (ie: 70 mph in 5th and cranking the throttle) and it would start hesitating. If there are any signs of not running right Id wait. If it does fine taking it easy take it easy until your tuned

You'll be fine for that short of period. Ride it now and now worries, no way anything will be damaged.
