has anyone lowered their dyna wide glide can they be lowered if so can someone tell me what i need to do. i know if im that short why did i buy a dyna well because thats the harley i really liked if i set in the lowest part of the seat i can be flat footed but forward a little or back a little im on my toes. i surely dont want to drop this baby. thank you for any help.
Getting smaller shocks can reduce the height as well as improve the ride. Different seats can also lower the height as they all have different amounts of padding and/or shape. Boots with big heels/platforms can help too.

I have lowered my wife's '04FXD by getting the spring kit and shocks for a Lowrider. This might not work on a WG, because of the fork angle. I did buy a Badlander seat that my wife said made a difference. Try the seat first or if you now of someone that has one to try.
Hello gto frank;
There are a couple of ways to get to get closer to the ground. You can lower the whole bike or try a lower seat or try both. I do not know what Wide Glide you have but if you are on the 06 or 07 model with the stock seat it would be less costly to try a lower seat than lowering the rear and front of the bike. Watch, because many of the lower seats will also move you back, which could move you away from the forward controls. In that case you would need to set slightly forward and that could be a little less comfortable depending on the seat. You could also look at a custom seat.

Try the seat first, at 5'2 i'm shorter than you are and I have a 06 SG, I had badx take my stock seat down a couple of inches and went to 11" shocks can now flat foot on the scoot. Cost to lower the bike and seat total was about $185 and change. Comfort level and gaining confidence at stops, priceless.

5'4" here with 30" inseam. I have an 05 fxd, put the lowrider shocks first, corbin close seat second, and the street bob bars thirdand I can easly flat foot it with an inch or so to spare. the bars keep me from having to reach too far, but the corbin close was the best
and should have been the firstupgrade for me.

Talk to Allen at MeanCity Cycles, you can find his contact info in the sponsor section. He can lower your stock seat for about 40 bucks plus shipping. He's done quite a few of the members here and he's working on mine right now.
While there are many ways to lower a bike what many people overlook is that it's not neccesary to be able to plant both feet on the ground to ride or even hold up a bike.If it were you would need a kickstand on both sides.I'm just 5'9" and I rode an XR650 for years only my toes could touch but it didn't slow me down or cause me to drop my bike at all.
