Default Can I remove this bracket?

Installed vance and hines. This bracket withe the square hole Is left. It has 3 torx head screws that go into the motor. I am sure it won't be an issue but can I remove the bracket and replace the screws or leave the screws out? Only reason I ask is because the screws go into the motor case.

Thanks

From what I can tell, that looks like your exhaust bracket, which you arent using. You "can" take it out but, why? Just leave it there IMO.

Yep, it's from the stock exhaust.

I would have removed mine just because it looks odd but I couldn't get to one of the torx head screw right under the frame.

So...I just took some black touch up paint and painted it as not to be to obvious. I notice most people have left it after swithing from their stock exhaust.

Ha, well your original post was about reduced reach forward controls so, I wasn't sure if the picture was supposed to be about something else.

That torx head screw, right under the frame, is a bitch to get to. But I pulled the bracket off mine, just to silence my OCD.

J&P sells a special Torx wrench for the sole purpose of removing that bracket. I have NOT purchased the wrench, and I have not removed the bracket, but occasionally my OCD kicks in and tells me to remove it. Maybe I'll go out in the garage and look at it and see if I can make a tool to get that screw out. Long hard winter here in Illinois and I need an excuse to take the cover off one of the bikes.

Haha same here. Cold and snowy, took the cover off the bike and started to find things to do to it.
