Just chopped and lowered 1 inch my 06 Street bob fender, still have some fine tuning to do to it but it is close.I was scared I was gonna **** my fender up but I think it's turning out ok.Here is a before and after pics, still has the stock 160/60-17 tire but going with a 180 soon.
Looks good. With the fender like that, even the stock tires looks bigger.
I don't think I'd put the 180 on. I've had the 180 and for the money they want for the SE 180 will never buy one again. Just doesn't last long and is way overpriced.
Thanks,my tire is getting bad but I'm not getting the Harley tire way over priced,I actually got a Avon Cobra 190/60-17 Im gonna try it but not sure it's gonna fit,if it don't I'm Going with Avon 170/60-17 only $160 vs $300 for the harley 180
Thanks for the all the compliments guys, the 190 tire is actually recommended for a 5 inch rim per avon site,so it's gonna be a little stretched on the 4.5 inch rim,I kinda worded my title wrong I actually raised the mounting holes on the fender 1inch which lowered the fender 1inch,the bike has the burly slammer kit on it also.
I'm also gonna put wide glide trees on it with a stock 21 inch wheel off a night train, the trees are gonna be powder coated black also and I still have the stock strut covers that we're chrome but being powder coated right now too.I like the smooth look of the strut covers.
