started tearing down the motor yesterday. New parts are all in and are :
1) S&S 106 big bore kit.
2) Stock heads re-worked by NTC (Randy Kelly at Leo's)
3)AV&V springs and valves. 1.900 intake and 1.610 exhaust
4) Feuling race pushrods
5) Feuling lifters
6) Woods TW 400-6 cam with 4* advance gear
7) SE roller rockers with SE forged rocker supports
8) SE cam plate and high volume oil pump kit 25282-11
9) SE HI-PO clutch
10) SE 50mm Throttle body port matched with larger injectors
I've been doing tons of research for my build and I'd consider going with a DT 3 stage pump instead of the SE. The stock pump offers plenty of pressure, it's the scavenging that is lacking, which the DT corrects.

My bud Randy Kelly at Northern Thunder Cycles was adamant about the advance gear. He said the 4* advance will bring the power on earlier and it wil still run stong to 6200. I saw dyno graphs with similar builds and torque numbers were already over 100ft lbs at 3K RPMs

SE pump offers more pressure, more volume and better scavenging and works well with the SE cam plate. Plus I got 40% off on everything at his dealership so I went with SE parts or whatever else he likes to use that was in stock.

Lots of people would disagree with this. Many builders will tell you it's a total waste of money fixing a problem that doesn't exist. The SE and Fueling dramatically increase the pressure (which isn't needed) and only marginally improve the scavenging which is what's really needed. The DT is not that much more and provides an improvement where it's actually needed, scavenging.
Do a search on HTT and read up about it.

I suck at math, but $364.15 (from new castle hd) for new plate & pump are far less than $439 for pump & $319 for the plate from R&R Cycles. I'm sure the DT is much better than the SE, but the $$$$ difference is huge .
