If this mount makes cruising on the highway better by eliminating the vibrations....I'm all in.

Since I don't have a tach I have no idea what rpm I cruise at on the interstate.

The real test I guess would be to drench it in oil after an oil change as usually happens (for me at least). That's what in part kills the stock isolator.

I was able to get out again yesterday, although only for 25 miles. .hard to time good weather with free time in the winter.

More observations:

This mount does not remove the vibrations, it lessens them. I saw a comment about the primary visibly moving front to back while riding from monster715. That isn't at all what I experience. .looking down it doesn't even look like the horn cover/primary etc are moving. Touching them you feel a buzz but that's about it. Of course it will shake at idle but that's reduced with this mount. .

Everything I've read indicates the Dyna TC's have a harmonic vibration at 2800-3200 RPM (the EVO's apparently had it occur much lower closer to 2k). I pay extra attention to this RPM range when riding and that's where it's most pronounced on my bike. But the greatest benefit for me. .the vibes are cut down and I can see out of my mirrors anywhere 2k and up. Closer to 2k, 2600 and under, it's eery how smooth the bike is. As I approach 3k and up, it gets a high frequency vibration that's somewhat felt in bars, pegs, mirrors, but nothing at all like before. I remember my old mount would cause the mirrors and levers to dance around and depending on where I held the motor it could cause my hands to start to go numb.

Regarding the oil spillage comment from SC-Longhair: I think you'd be hard pressed to spill oil on the actual rubber portion of the mount. It's inside the metal mount body and covered with a fairly tight grommet at the top. I suppose if you spilled enough it could go down the front and get to the bottom where the rubber is exposed. Either way I'll be taking extra precautions in the future (draining oil filter with a nail prior to removal, wrapping a bread bag from the grocery store over the filter before spinning it off).

Other then that it rides like a dream. Anyone else using this mount with mid controls having this issue? Anyone looked down at the primary while riding on the freeway noticed the movement? I'm sure it's normal, my pipe is probably just closer to the mount then others are
When you get a chance check the condition of your rear mount. Pay particular attention to the 4 rivets at the bottom and that the gap front/rear is about the same. You can do this with a flashlight and your fingers.

Would the bottom pic reflect a torn mount?

Yes. When I checked mine I could feel roughly the same gap front/rear and the rivets were in good shape.

Edit:

Here's a pic of a new OEM rear mount for visual. Notice the gap underneath the rubber and the 4 rivets at the bottom. These are what you're checking.

I may have missed something here. Has anyone brought up how long this rubber mount is expected to last? What's the process of swapping it out? And will they be easily available? I'm assuming that we'll only be able to get them through Vibra-Technics.

A quick internet search brings them right up. (Vibra-technics)
Select what vehicle you're working on and their products pop up.
