Last month I had driving issues coming back home from a trip and it looks like it has a bad rear OEM mount that after reading this thread looks like the desing of the front mount makes tha rear go bad more oftend... now I'm REALLY thinking on getting this product!
This company is so firkin fantastic to deal with, it is totally amazing. I think it's been over a year since I bought the first mount. I couldn't get the mount to line up right so they sent me a different one. It was better but still wouldn't line up right. Well, life happened and only got about 800 miles on the bike and it's been down for over a year. Phil still worked with me to get it straightened out. After all this, it turned out to be Harleys quality control.- or lack of it- The front frame mount should be right at 45 degrees. Mine was 50 degrees. So, with a little help from a large pipe wrench and a short jack, it is now at 45 degrees. HA. I had put the other mount on a friends bike and it worked great. He decided he wanted to keep it since after about 3000 miles the oem mount was already junk. I ordered another mount and it showed up a day early. It fits great so far. Now, if I can get the bike running soon I think I will be very happy.

Is this also true for Evo frames?
Also, if one uses shorter shocks should you take that in account?
emailed them through their website last night with a few questions. Had a reply when I woke up this morning. Great responsiveness. Phil said that they are currently running behind due to high demand and it would take 10 days to receive a Predator. Will ship FedEx Priority to me. Ordered one this morning.

Can you elaborate what was wrong and what you did to fix? Not sure I follow.
The part of the frame where the mount bolts to should be at 45 degrees. Mine was 50 degrees. I had to take a big pipe wrench and a short jack and push it up to get the 45 degrees. I had the motor out so it was pretty easy.
The problem was that when I would lower the motor the mount block wouldn't line up with the frame mount. It would end up forcing the center bolt back towards the motor and kind of bind it up. I was still getting a lot of vibes through the frame. I think this is a problem with the stock mounts too. I think it's why some people have said that when they let the motor down and there is larger gap at the top or bottom. It amazed me what a little 5 degrees would do to screw things up. I know the preditor mount is going to be great. I think it will outlast the stock crap 10 times over. And the built in stabilizer is just an added plus. You can put a truetrack or sputhe on the front, but the crappy stock mount is still going to wear out. I wish they would come out with a rear mount also. This is just how I see it and feel about it. Tim.
