Vibra-Technics motor mount install
Gee, I wish I could help you more on this. You will have to do a trial and error investigating of your problem. At least your not paying $$$ to a tech to do this. LOL
You could use some chalk. Put chalk on the parts you think are hitting the frame. Take the bike for a ride. When you get back see if there is any chalk on the frame.
Like I said, it could be anything. Check the front end/forks, exhaust, shocks and any other mounting points that could be loose. Sounds and vibes can come from any loose parts.
Let us know when you find the problem. I/we would like to know what it was.
No vibes. Just a clunking sound. Never had vibes with the OEM mount. When new or bad. Every Dyna has it's own vibe problems. Some worse then others. It's the nature of the beast.
Some change the exhaust. Got rid of the OEM exhaust and all vibes went away.
Decel:Clunking sound when coming to a stop and hitting bumps.
Decel or accel. The engine and front mount will be aligned using this fix. With vibes. I have no idea one way or another on how to fix it. Except for checking all parts around the bike and mounting points.
If the rear mount is shot the engine will move back and fort more and the engine will bounce up and down too. A bad rear mount causing vibes? I don't know.
I plan to install the mount in the next week or two. If I follow you correctly, I should have someone sitting on the bike and it up straight to get a good install, correct? I use one of the lift like the one linked, so y ride doesn't come fully off the ground, but the bike is standing straight up with all the weight still on the rear wheel.

Install the mount. Torque down the mounting bolts except the middle one. Have someone sit on the bike. No lift or stand under the bike. Torque down the middle bolt.
Your doing this so the exhaust heat shield doesn't hit the frame when the bike is coming to a stop/on decal. You might not even have this problem. This saves you from having to go under the bike again. If it does.
If you look at the front of the heat shield you will see there is a cutout at the front. Mine are V&H, it does have this cutout. That's there so the exhaust doesn't hit the frame tube. Exhaust mfg's do this because they know the engine moves forward a little at decal. If your exhaust hits the frame after the fix, you can bend that area out a little. Not to much, so you don't crack the chrome or ceramic coating on the shield if it's black.
You guys have to remember. When installing after market parts there is always a chance the part will not work exactly like the OEM part. There may be some adjustments to be made somewhere else on the bike because the part changed the way the engine sits in the frame.
This won't hurt. Check your jiffy/kick stand. Sometimes the rubber stopper comes off. It could be on the stand or the frame. Mine is on the frame. It came off and the stand was hitting the frame. It sounded like something was falling off the bike. If you see no stopper. Look for a little hole in the frame where the end of the stand rests. This is where the rubber stopper snaps in. Or a hole in the stand itself. That's where the bumper would go.
Like I said, it could be anything.

Let me just say that I have two different bottom mounts for my vibra mount from when I bought it. One is (I guess the standard mount) and one is supposedly longer. I will try and swap them out tomorrow and see if this resolved my issue. It is one of the earliest incarnations of the predator mount.
Worse case scenario I will go back to the stock mount for more clearance and a try trak setup.
The predator mount works great though and I mean in no way to say it does not do what I want it to. It just bump a little on my bike. Hopefully soon to be resolved
