See that adjuster in the upper left side of your photo?
If you shorten that adjustment,, won't it pull the engine and offending bolt away from that kickstand mount?
I didn't read through all the posts, but I did have a 13 Switchback. I tried the Virba-Techics mount, due to the rattling my teeth at idle. Had the tech try and try again.. would feel good at first but eventually loosen up. Just too many pieces to the mount. Went back to the stock mount.
My 2004, kickstand and bottom of the engine looks different than yours. Mine doesn't have that bolt on the side. The bottom of the engine is about 1 1/2" away from the kickstand bracket. And the engine is sitting higher. HD must have changed things for 2006.
So the standing question is.... is there a way to adjust for front and back or a way to move the whole motor assemble forward a few thousandths?
HD put a service bulletin to turn that pin around. The head of the pin should face the crankcase bolt. I had some mean decel vibes. I turn the jiffy stand pin around and it took care of my problems.
After you install the front mount. Lift the back of the bike up so the back tire is just off the ground. Loosen the back mount up. Start the engine for a about 15 seconds. It will push the engine forward as far as it can go. Turn the engine off. Tighten the back mount back up. Sit the bike back down.
So, I did the install of the mount yesterday. Prior tearing down the front mount to do the install I took some pics of the location misfitJason pointed out in his pics. My pics showed damn near the same problem and thought, this doesn't look good. However, during the install I had to raise the motor about 1/4"-1/2" to get the bottom holes lined up on the mount. Not sure if this effected the problem misfit pointed out, it was to dark to get pics to see if the distance changed, I will try and get them this week to see if I had any improvements.
As for the mount itself, it was a very easy install thanks to the video tomt posted, I must have watched it about a dozen times.
Also added the Baker Comp Sprocket, Attitude Adjusted and new Barnett clutch pack while I was in my maintenance mod yesterday.
