Footboard Kit on a 2012 FXDWG?

Footboard Kit on a 2012 FXDWG?
Wife has a 2012 FXDWG (forward controls) and I want to put pn 50500247 on it. It is my understanding that I will only need to 'shave' some material off the RR bracket to allow the stock exhaust pipes to clear mounting bracket for the footboard. Has anyone done this or can you confirm that it will work by doing this? Thanks in advance

you need to space out the right hand side to clear the stock exhaust.
this includes getting longer mounting bolts to complete the job.
i wouldnt be shaving any metal away from anything.
obviously, it makes sense to space the left side to get symmetry.
