V&H Short Shots to Thunderheader
Good Evening Everyone,
I currently have V&H on my 08 FXDB. Nothing done to it stock engine etc... it does have an arlen ness big sucker and according to previous owner a Harley remap download, but don't know that for a fact.
Im wanting to go with thunderheaders and stopped by a local shop. Now according to them I need to bore my engine out to a 103, get a race tuner and dyno my bike. In other words couple grand. It honestly sounds like a bunch of bs.
Any advice from anyone out there? Would all that engine work be needed to run thunderheaders?

Thanks. I really thought so just needed to make sure. I am wanting to get a power commander on there as well.
I don't know about the whole dyno tune either. I am not so big with specs on paper just want something reliable and LOUD to wake up all my neighbors.

I don't know what shop your dealing with but I wouldn't ever step foot in there again. There's plenty of good shops around here that don't pull that kind of bullshit

Haha I like the honesty. I probably would have gone all the way if they would have told me, "you can do it but we recommend doing all the works so you get better performance......or whatever"
