I think you've made a pretty good choice.

Thanks everyone for all the feedback. Looks like I'll probably go with a PC-V and get it dynoed here in the valley by Chris Rivas. Anyone dealt with him before? I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

I have auxiliary lights and they are connected to the 6 point deutch plug. If I wanted to install the PC-V type of tuner, what are the available options for having both the lights and the tuner working? Is there another accessory switched power point available for the lights?

Personally not a fan of the power commander. Replaced many of them for failures and issues. I don't like any of the piggyback tuners. It can be tuned alright on the dyno, you'll probably be happy with it. But I'd spend a little more and get a tts. Actually flashes your ecm, no piggyback crap on your bike to fail or mess with the ecm, far more adjustable, you can adjust your speedo if you ever make gearing changes. Se super tuner works really well too for people that know how to use it, just not quite as much adjustment capabilities as the tts. You're heading in the right direction though. You can get a ballpark map from someone and it will run decent, good enough to be safe, but you will definitely get the most out of it with a good dyno tune.

You will spend more money on that setup than you would a ThunderMax and you will still have a piggy back device on your ride.
Contrary to what an ill-informed person said earlier, the TMax is not just for racing, it is for allowing the bike to run it's best without needing a dyno every time you change something. If you are one of those that gets a thrill taking your bike to a tuner then the TMax is not for you, if on the other hand you just want to tide...Go TMax.

I am new here but I just ordered the TTS, VO2 naked, with V & H 2:1 comp black exhaust and I am trying to get a head start on the whole tuning for dummies. The parts are supposed to be in on Tuesday for my 2010 FXD. Any suggestions, warnings, cautions, or notes before my projest starts from anyone.....

One of the plus sides of the PC-V is that there are certified dyno tuners eveywhere. The PowerVision is coming along as well in that regard. I can understand why people don't like piggybacks that just change the parameters of ECU inputs and outputs. It's not my first choice but they do work for fuel management for simple Stage 1 mods, and do offer more than just "adding fuel" across the board like those XIED or whatever things. If you want cams, head work, etc. and you're looking for every last ounce of power, then sure, I'd go with something that can at least flash the ECU.

I don't know how I feel about autotune. In my experience with autotune features of automotive standalones, it never got it exactly right. If you guys say it works, fine, I believe you. But my personal choice would be piggyback+dyno over standalone/flash+autotune and hope it worked.
