I've got the Badboy in chrome. I mounted it where the stock horn goes, and am using a relay. It has worked great and it's both louder and a more annoying dual tone sound than stock. I think the Big Bad Max is new, I would have gotten the BBM instead back when I bought my horn.

I bought a Bad Boy from Harbor Freight for pretty cheap. Got it all hooked up and I was not impressed. Seemed a little higher pitched than stock and not much louder. I ended up returning it. I'd be interest in the Big Bad Max as it sounds deeper than stock and is definitely louder at 123 dB... Can't find any locally and I'm too cheap to lose out on the cost of shipping if I order online from Wolo. Really the only thing I would be concerned with on the Big Bad Max is the size.... But feel free to be my guinea pig!

Default Wolo Horns

I would not recommend Wolo Horns. I've had two and both lasted about 1yr each!!! My first was an HD orginal and they quit making them. I took the plastic cover off the broke horn and glued on the new replacement non-HD. Again 1 yr later -non working.

Some good reviews, some bad. I have had the bad boy for a little over 3 years. Was chrome and I painted it black. Mine is much louder than stock and annoying as all hell. Really gets the drivers attention. I ride in a hot, rainy and generally hellish environment and still sounding strong.

Howard's Horns. No plastic. Fits where stock cowbell is. Loud, annoyingly loud - it *WILL* get the attention of dipshit cager's.

I have the Wolo. Really loud. Scared the hell out of myself once by hitting the horn instead of the blinker while changing lanes. Have only made that mistake once!

I have a Wolo Badboy, and am pretty happy with it. It's not terribly loud (compared to stock car horns), but the tone is pretty attention-getting.

They don't like to be pressure-washed. I put a plastic bag over mine now when I wash.
