In the past ten years I've had the ''different bike'' disease. I've gone from an Electraglide to a Sportster ( yep), to a Super glide, to a Road King Classic, to a Super Glide Custom. I should have just stayed with the first Super glide. I missed it so much, I bought another one. I just went through a period where I always thought I wanted something 'different'', hence the Electraglide to Sportster trade. I was trading bikes every year or so. Loved my first FXD, but fell in lust with a Road King Classic, and bought it just because I loved the way it looked. Less than three months later, I hated it, and remembered why I got rid of my Electraglide. I bought a new a FXDC, and now I'm finally satisfied. For me, the Superglide is THE perfect HD. Anyway, I'm just trying to say that after all those different bikes, the big hit to my bank account on all those trades/deals, I've learned that keeping what you already have is often the best way to go. I said all that to say, IMHO, keep the WG.
I looked hard at the new Lowrider, IMO the bars and risers blow, the exhaust looks like crap, the seat is gimmicky, the controls are poorly placed.
The paint was cool, the vibe is cool, but it just didn't cut it for me.
My "12" Glide has an "11" model year set of tins on it, the yellow w/black flames pushed me to it. If I had only been able to get the colors available for the "12" model year I would have gone Fat Bob.
So which bike "fits" better? I hear some people do not like the shorter stance of the Low Rider. I ride a 03 Low Rider and love it. Fits me like a glove...but everyone is different. I love the look of the Wide Glide but was not comfortable on the bike for longer periods of time.
I also have a 2012 wide glide and absolutely live the lowrider. If I would have waited and decided to get a bike now, it would be the lowrider, but I will not trade my wideglide for one now thT I have it. Wish I had the cash to have them both.
