I'm looking for a mount that will lower the passenger footpegsa couple of inches or so on my 06 Superglide. My wife is 6ft and she says that everything else is pretty comfy, but she says that when she's riding on back with me that it makes her feel like her ankles are by her ears,.....I instantlyhada grin on my faceand gave her ,..."that look",... and her reply was normally that position, would be OK,... but not on the back of a Harley while riding several miles. So,... does anyone know if they make any mounts or anything that will lower the passenger pegs any?
Kuryakyn does make several adjustable offset peg devices that should work for you.
I wound up using a set of the 4" 360 degree adjustable offsets for my passenger pegs since my wife has...um, well, rather long legs at 5'10" and she sort of, kindof complained of the same thing with her ankles. I did not go there when she opened that door...perhaps I should have.
Anyhow............check out Kury...I'm sure you'll find something. My set up wound up looking really nice.
Edited to say: Yes, I do have some pics that I just found...forgot I took those.
......If I post on here I'll have to resize since they were taken with ultra high res on our camera that also serves as backup launch control for the space shuttle...my graphics designer/computer geek wife will have to help with that one.
Quality is gonna be much better if I send them original size [some very nice closeups] to your private e-mail....that way you can view them easier. Just let me know.
I'll check back later to see if your online.
In the case on my LowRider those 4" offsets came in most handy for extending the pegs forward from their original position.
The offsets kick out initially about 1-1.5" from the original mount then forward 2" or 4" depending on which version you get. Additionally, they are rotatable via a spline type locking mechanism so that you have that 360 degree range of movement as well.
They were most helpful to my wife as she is allowed a more relaxed....more forward placement of her knees-legs-feet than on the stock pegs. My pipes,if I remember correctly prevented me from actually dropping the pegs down very much....some maybe, but not much.
If you look and the pic of my bike you will see a sort of chrome sunburst where the sun is shining on the passenger pegs just to the left of the starter etc....this is where the pegs wound up after the offsets were installed.
