I couldn't get the link to open but I do not think that heat is the enemy of motorcycle exhaust systems that are exposed to the open air. I do not even know if heat destroys headers under a hood or in a tight engine compartment with precious little airflow but if heat is an enemy to header systems,I would think that motorcycle headers, like Thunderheader, have a better chance of survival given that they are in the open atmosphere - taped or not.

I can't get the link to open but that sounds like bullcrap to me. But if you can fix that link I can make a better opinion.

Try this

It sounds likethe manufacturer trying to cover their asses. Pretty much anything you do to anything you buy voids the warranty.

Well... wrappin pipes tonight. Only question is should I spray with the black silicon that I bought or not? I want it to last but also like the way it looks when it is faded. Will it still fade if I spray'em with the silicon?

ORIGINAL: Chipstah

Wrap is available in grey or black from Thermo-Tec with their Cool-It paint (recommended) to spray over wrap once installed.

Also can be found in the Summit Racing on-line catalog (search catalog for 'exhaust wrap')
This is the wrap I used and it is holding up good. When it starts to fade, I shoot it with another coat of the Thermo-Tec paint and it looks almost like new again
