I switched to the quiet baffle option, made it run a lot smoother with the mod. I am running the autotune now to see if that makes any difference. Put in quite a bit of time Friday and I am really liking it.
Should be doing this mod tonight afterwork since it's raining here in the Bay Area it'll give me someting to do lol, but besides the 1/4x1" thumb screw did u need anything else for this mod? Gonna stop by Home Depot before heading home from work
Last week I switched from the Big Radius 2n2 to the Short Shots and love the sound. I am completely satisfied for now but if I need a mod I know where to go.

Just make sure you have (4) total nuts, (2) for each thumb screw. 1 nut goes inside the pipe and one outside. That's all you need.
I have the shortshots, but stock air cleaner and no type of tuner. Any idea how this will affect the A/F ratio for me? Would a little back pressure make it better?

Attempted to do this just now, seems like the screw that's in there now is pretty stuck, I might even have stopped the Allen bolt. Any tips? I postponed this project and proceeded to plasti dip my stock AC cover and horn cover lol

The back pressure will help because the short shots don't have much if any at all. Really the only time you have to worry about a tuner is when you change the air cleaner.
Just finished doing this, took about 30-45 min, most of that was spent getting the heat shields put back on (those hose clamps just didn't want to cooperate).
Right off the bat I can hear a difference in the tone. The higher pitched raspy part is just about gone. I took it for a short "ride" around the block so I can't say how performance is, but I'll get to test that out next week. I wonder if some of the decel pop will go away?
I'm still happy with this mod. I'm sure the FuelPak FP3 has more to do with it than the baffle mod, but between the two (Done at the same time), my decel pop is almost completely gone. Overall my bike is just running much smoother now and it is still loud (which I like) but not so raspy.
It is amazing to me that I never thought of doing this with my short shots! I did the lollipop mod on my drag pipes I have on the Sportster and just never thought of doing it with the short shots. Brilliant man!
