It is amazing to me that I never thought of doing this with my short shots! I did the lollipop mod on my drag pipes I have on the Sportster and just never thought of doing it with the short shots. Brilliant man!
You don't need anything fancy for that. You are just adding something to break up the reversion pulses you are getting from the shock of the exhaust flow hitting the end of exhaust and bouncing back through short near-straight-through pipes. AKA a lollipop.
Just search on eBay for eye bolts and get a couple with the right length and thread size. Fit with a couple of nuts so the eye sits in the centre of the exhaust near the end.
This is basically 90% of what BCT baffles are.
Won't do much for your hearing but may help a little with the the low-speed power drop.
Oh and Cameron - I wouldn't post pictures of your bike with the number plate showing - you can end up with your plate cloned that way. First thing you will know is when you get a summons for an offence at the other end of the country .
Just installed the short shots with stock baffle and the lollipop mod, and coming from stock headers with straight shot slip ons I must say there isn't really much of a power loss, maybe slightly on the jump, but I feel that I gained some mid/top end. Overall I'm happy with how these SS sound and how it looks on my bike...
Btw I only put one washer on the thumb screw but tightened it uber tight, I've ridden about 60 miles so far and it's still on... Should I leave it or add a second set of washer on the inside? It seems to be on there pretty good

I put a nut on the inside just to make sure they didn't loosen and turn over time. Mine haven't moved at all. I would just watch it and see if you notice them turning.

Thanks for all the help I'll def keep an eye out through time
