I was at the dealer last Saturday and with a different sales person, I tryed
to do a trade on $20,500 Street glide. They wanted to offer 11,500 for my
lowrider which was right out of the book. I said they really needed to see
it because I added quite a bit to it and they admitted the could get $15,500
for it easy. Their manager wouldn't budge above $12,000. I don't get it, they
would have made a clean profit on the Street Glide. Anyway, I had to pass
again. My new job is starting to pay pretty well, So maybe next fall I'll buy
the Street glide outright and have 2-bikes. I got 5-months to warm the better
half up to the idea. Maybe bribe her with a new kitchen. LOL
mikec, Wow. For the extra 5g's you could add a lot of bling to you lowrider (but it don't look like it needs it). I don't know about the kitchen redo, "they" wanted $14,000 to redo a bath room for us. I told the guy "That's a wide glide, man". Done it myself and used the saving and my sportster and got a dyna.
Well I was gonna order me a Peace Officers Special Edition Road King a few weeks back and the dealer pretty much said that since they were on strike at the time that there might be a LONG wait on getting the Road Kind,.... so,...... I just spent the difference adding some goodies to my Dyna and finally got the wife convinced tto give me her blessing so I can get me a new Road King and get to keep my Dyna as well next summer when the 09's come out.
