I just found a solution to the nuisance wind noise coming from between handlebar and gas tank. Its a batwing. I tried a windshield, windshield side extension, lowers, none work. Just test rode a batwing fairing today with a 9" windshield and no more wind noise and also buffeting has reduced. Now I can ride with no earplugs.
