I would have done the same as well. F/ around with tire issues on vehicles in general, and motorcycles in particular, is a real bad idea. You just know if you had pushed it and kept riding, you would get stranded someplace bad at a bad time.

I wonder what the max mileage for the LR tires is if nothing happens to them? I would love to get at least 20,000 miles out of mine if that is possible.

Just guessing, but I probably could of gotten 8K on the rear tire, it was at 6920 when changed.

Hi all,

I am a new member getting caught up on all the info/posts on the 2014 Low Rider. Bought my at the end of July and really enjoy it so far. Still breaking it in but fortunately we have some good weather left to get in the miles.

Congrats on the new ride. I bought mine July 7th, 2015. The same beautiful color as yours. Ride safe my friend and ride often.

These pictures are for the person that questioned me when i said that the factory muffler mount was rubber isolated for vibration. The pictures pretty much speak for themselves, but yes both of the factory muffler mounting points are isolated in rubber.

For an experiment today I decided to put the factory headers and V&H slip on muffler back on the bike for a test. I had to run up to the dealers to buy a set of conical exhaust gaskets, but they are pretty cheap anyways. It took me about an hour to make the switch. I took the bike out for a nice long ride around town and out on the highway where I took it up to 115mph a couple of times. All the problems I was having with harsh vibrations and the bike losing stability over 105 and wiggling it's butt down the highway are gone. It is back to being rock solid on the road and well behaved. Needless to say the Big Shots are not going back on my bike. I will put them up for sale locally to try and recoup some of my losses. I feel it has more torque and hp with the slip on anyways over the Big Shots after riding the bike back to back before and after the swap. The only down side is the factory headers and slip on don't look near as good on the bike as the Big Shots did. I will take performance and comfort over looks.

As for the Predator front engine mount I ordered I see it has already shipped and I will install it when I do my 5,000 mile service next week as it is easier to install if you have the oil filter off.
