And yet here you are once again posting and responding in the thread that I started. If I am a "total tool bag" what does that make you? Answer: the dummy riding my jock.

Mine went fine btw, this is an extremely easy bike to service. My wife picked me up a HD locking clamp for my detachable windshield that I also installed.

I bought one of those also even though I use the windshield 1% of the time. I also installed it so the barrel lock is on the bottom which makes it harder to get to for me and also harder to pick.

I did the same, I have it on the right side. I also have some MS lowers on so it is kind of awkward to access. If someone really wanted it bad I am sure a sharp twist would snap or bend them off. It should help deter someone who is looking for something easy.

I am having a weird problem with my 2014 LR with 12k mi. When the gas tank gets below 1/3 a tank, it will not idle unless I keep my hand on the throttle. If I take my hand off the throttle it slowly goes below 1000RPM, get very rough and stalls. It restarts with no problem and the bike otherwise runs fine. Fill up that gas tank and the problem goes away. I have used mostly non-alcohol high test but I have have used many tanks of 10% Ethanol high test because that is all that is available when I travel. It makes no difference for the current problem if there is ethanol or non ethanol gas in the tank.
Any ideas?

im using the race tuner from screamin eagle, just changed the closed loop( 2750 to 3500 from 14.5 to 14.4) using the supplied 14 disk + open end cap, 1 range colder S/E plugs and wires, stage1 kit air filter S/E and this thing runs better then it has ever ran!

This is not something that I have previously heard mentioned. I have rode my bike many times when it was below a 1/3 of a tank. Never had any issues. In fact, I have ridden 10-15 times when I was running on a few ounces or fumes. Never experienced anything like you describe. All the gas in my area is 10% Ethanol.

Do you have any water in the gas tank? You might be getting water in the gas from service station or condensation build up in the tank.
