Gonna have to sell the Road Glide before I can do the rest. Probably my last bike, so needed to shed the weight of the RG. The LowRider brings me back to my FXR days.
Good service records always help resale. I found a HD indie that does the HD service for a lot less and his checklist is more than what they do at our local who has such a bad rep. Lucky I found him.

The LR will make a great final bike. How much longer do you plan on riding?
Be sure to keep us posted on what you do to the bike after the RG is sold.

Back in May 2011, I decided to sell my 2003 Kawasaki ZZR 1200 that I bought NOS in May 2006. Had it for 5 years and put 13500 miles on it. I listed on cycletrader and a guy from PA who happened to be in Chicago on business drove down to my house and looked at the bike. I handed him a file with all the records on the bike. He read them over and I sold the bike for what I was asking for it. Not the first time that I have had things go that when selling a bike.
I rode today, around 75 degrees here (after tornadic weather last night). I'm eyeballing the flush mount cap and gauge, and relocation kit for front signals but i havent ordered just yet.

I do not know about your HD dealer but mine does a lot more than an oil change when I take the bike in for servicing. How do I know? I sat both times in the waiting area and watched the tech check a comprehensive list of things including all those things that can come loose, belt tension, tires, etc. When the tech is done, the detailing guy comes over a wipes everything down real nice and shines her up.
There isn't that much that can "come loose." Most of the fasteners are going to have some sort of thread locking agent. Torquing them to spec would break those seals and make the fasteners more likely to vibrate off. If a belt that should last nearly 100k miles stretches within a few thousand, let alone a few hundred, it's defective and would be a rarity. I'll give you the effort of a minimum wage guy wiping off the tech's smudge prints.
That said, I can see that service records by a factory trained tech should hold some leverage in a negotiation. Still, in the short run, those gloves weren't that cheap...

I am hardly alone in having by bike serviced by the dealership. My dealer has 3-4 mechanics working on people's bikes every time I am there. The service area is filled with bikes being worked on and more arrive for servicing while I am there.
For those that do their own work and save a few bucks, mazel tov! I have neither the time or desire to do my own work. Dropping $300 at the dealership to service my bike means nothing to me.
I must be doing something right. Every time I sell one of my one-owner garaged bikes with all the service records, I get on the high end of the fair market price for the bike. When I sold my ZZR 1200 and CBR 1100 XX, the buyers knew what they were getting and we avoided having to haggle over price.
