Regarding the 2014+ LR. Everyone is so upside down about how to install normal risers.

Get a pre 2006 headlight brow from J&P cycles.

2 5/16 x 2.5" bolts and nuts

Make a bracket that has two holes for your riser bolts.

Two holes forward of those for the brow.

Measure a bit, drill some holes in the flat plate.

Mount the top mount headlight to the brow.

Brow to the bracket/plate

Brow and plate to the riser bolts. Either above or below the top tree, your choice.

Works perfect, I even run a quarter fairing perfectly. No bottom mount BS needed.

Lama,

Thanks Man!!!

You are right. I was being a *****. I need to just sack up and do this myself. That's part of the fun. I was wanting to have everything look perfect like the DK set would be, but I can certainly do this.

Thanks again!

I miss riding my LR. It has been at least 31-32 days since I last rode. The LR owners in GA and FL are lucky.

the weather hasn't been that great in Georgia lately. I ride rain or shine above 28 degrees. The morning rides aren't great, but by the time I get off in the afternoon, it's usually mid 40s to low 50s by then so the morning commute is worth it. I do tire of putting all the gear on though, but like you said, at least I'm riding.

I decided to pamper mine with a gift. I ordered a flush mount fuel cap and gauge for it.

Good choice.

An easy install and looks way cool.

Did you have to lift the tank a bit to get at the plug? I haven't even looked at mine yet.

You can probably reach the plug without moving the tank. But if you have to, you just take the 2 bolts out and the tank will lift up.

I had mine loose already, to do the turn signal relocation wiring.

Thanks that is what I am hoping, just take out the bolts and lift it up a tad without having to drain it and remove the crossover hose.

You definitely do not have to drain tank or remove crossover. The plug is easily accessed with the tank slightly lifted.
