I see the value of a good bag and will likely get one. Storage is a good thing. I have always used a backpack (for 30 years). Never had bags before. Something I plan to change.
Knew a guy back in the early 1980's that rode a Suzuki SP 370 enduro. He wore a backpack for his work tools. He Had a bunch of twist drills he was hauling to the sharpener and went down on a trail. Taking a "short cut", I guess. Anyway, a drill pierced has back/spine and he laid there paralyzed until someone came along a day or two later. I've seen riders put glass bottles of beer/wine in their backpacks, and go riding away. Heed this~ don't put sharps in a backpack! A sack of potatoes? Fine. Kitchen knives to be sharpened? Not so much.

Excellent point. Only thing I carry is a wallet and cell phone in my back pack. Sometimes I also carry clothing when it may be cool in the morning but warmer later in the day. No tools or other sharp objects for me. I really need to take the next step and get a bag or bags.
Any current 2014-16 LR owners planning on hitting a Demo Day event to test out the LR S? If HD includes that bike in the Demo Day event lineup, I will be there.
