Did your rear tire wear evenly or did it "block" off? Uneven wear could be related to riding solo with high rear tire pressure.
The reason I'm asking is I usually get 8k out of sportbike tires and 10-12k on cruiser tires.
The wear is even. I actually think I will get another 1k or so on them. I'm right above the wear mark indicator. So I'm thinking I might get to 9.5k which still isn't great, but the cheese-grader roads around here are pretty bad.
Had my LR at the dealer yesterday for the 15K servicing even though I am only at 14000 miles. Had the 10K done at 9K miles because I had a $50 HD Gift Card (that HD sent me) off a servicing that I had to use. Did not want bike sitting with oil that had 5000 miles on it.
My tires need replacing. Seems like I did good, mileage wise, getting 14K miles out of the originals.
FWIW, a large dealer in the Houston area offered me $8K for trade in on my 2014 LR....I passed.
That is typical for Houston area Harley dealers. They always low ball you so they can make at least 4 to 5K or more profit when they sell it. I've had the same experience every time I've given them a chance to make me a trade in offer. I walked every time except when I traded my Street Glide for my current Low Rider. The only reason I did it then was because they at least paid it off, they gave me a good deal on the LR, and financially I needed to lower my monthly payment.

I'm sure these things vary dealer to dealer. To date, I have only dealt with one dealer and I will find out how good or bad they are when it comes to trade-in values.
Had the day off so I decided to head to the Best Buy that is only 2 miles or so from my house to get some sort of action camera to record while riding. Only looking to record in case video is needed for use in court to show who really caused the accident. I'm sure everyone of us on this forum had encountered more than 1 distracted cager. Things were bad enough with cell phones, now add in the texting, and it can be pretty dangerous out there.
Although I had to wait a little longer than I would have liked, there was a BB Sales Associate who actually uses action cameras--a kid in his late teens or early 20s. Answered all my questions. Ended up getting two GoPro Hero 5s (which just came out in October). One hell of a sweet camera:
Happened to still have two in the store. I had a BB email coupon good for 10% off any single item. BB guy said I could use it on both. Each camera was $400 minus the 10%. $720 minus $185 in various BB Reward Certificates from previous purchases. I had nothing else that I needed at all at BB and needed to use the certificates before they expired at the end of the month. Think I got a good deal.
Now I have the winter to decide how I want to set them up. Want one camera facing in front and one facing behind. Should give me real good coverage.
Was able to get to the gas station Friday. Filled up tank and added Stabil. Bike is in the garage covered and batter tender is hooked up. Now all I have to do is work on figuring out my new GoPro Hero 5 action cams. Never even had a camcorder before.
I have decided to stick with my 2015 LR until I see what is coming out for 2018. My LR runs great and has given me no issues. At the end of the day, how much more "fun" is the LR S over what I currently have? Not enough to justify the cash outlay. Might be a different story if my dealer still had that LR S. I asked the sales manager how many they sold and was told that it was the only LR S they had gotten. Guessing I would not have gotten the greatest deal on a LR S.
