After installing the cycle shack slip on I ran that for a few weeks when I came across a killer deal on vance and hines short shots at my local dealer ($200 brand new in the box full exhaust). They were in a clearance tent so I snatched them up. After install on the stock tune I was getting a lot of decel pop so I ordered a power vision tuner I mounted up a few days ago. I'm still messing with the tune on it but it seems to run pretty good. Word to anyone considering these pipes... they do fit, no issues at all. They are loud (standard baffle) and they do pop a lot. I highly doubt any tune will get this completely fixed. I also feel like I've lost a little low end torque but possibly picked up a little high end horsepower. In the future I may change these pipes out for something that is a little quieter and makes more power.
So far mods are short shots, power vision, adjustable detachable sissy bar for the girl, and custom dynamics led running/turn lights. Still loving this bike!
Anyone wanting to see what the Jade Green looks like should go to cycletrader. I seen several green and blue/white bikes for sale there with actual pictures. Both new colors look good.
Thanks for posting the pic, pab3rd. I want the blue and white one but the green is a close second in terms of color. In fact, I think all the colors offered for the LR look good.
Rode a 14 Low Rider and a 15 Road Glide today. LR was fun but for me not an only bike and I don' t want/ can't afford 2. I've had frame mounted fairings since 1980 and I liked my first ride on a RG. Probably won't frequent this part of the forum much after today. Great looking bikes those LRs are but it's gotta work from the rider's seat.
