Me and the wife went on a rare night ride wednesday night as my son was away. We didn't ride much, maybe 40 miles, the weather was perfect but the bugs were terrible. I rode into work yesterday and although the ride home was warm at 90 degrees, the ride in was perfect at 69 degrees as the sun was coming up.
I stopped riding at night a long time ago. Hate all the damn bugs and other critters just waiting to walk into your path. As much as I would like to ride to work in the morning, I usually do not if the temp later in the day is going to be above 80.
I was just thinking, kudos to you for starting this thread over 6 years ago and continuing to contribute and keep it going. It is clear us low rider owners love our bikes and plan to keep them for the long haul.
Thanks. Have had mine for 5 years. Very happy with it. No plans to get anything else. I wish new Low Rider owners (those who have bought used 2014-17 Low Riders or Low Rider S) would join the thread.

6 years for me next week. Bought the first one my dealer had. Still want a touring bike for me and the wife to do some longer rides but my low rider is safe. Would love to pass down to my son when hes old enough to ride. Hes 2 now
More and more I hear people say Harley never should've discontinued the Dyna. I get why they did, but there's a lot of love for it. And more than a few times I've heard people say the Low Rider was the best Dyna. I've had mine 2 years now and I love it more every day.

Count me among those not happy that the Dyna line was ended. Low Rider had been around since 1977. I believe it was the pick of the Dyna litter.
Me either. How can it be a LR when it only has one front disc brake?
Agreed. While the new softail platform is fantastic in it's own right, its just a way different bike than the dyna, having ridden several I don't feel like it has the same soul if that makes sense. I dont feel any of the dyna names should have been carried over into the softail platform but that's just me.
