i went from short shots to Vance and Hines pro pipe and my only regret is that I kept the short shots for so long. Pro pipe is big but has excellent sound, deep and the right noise level for cruising, barks under throttle with a snort between shifts. Love it
I have the Pro Pipe Chrome on my Stage IV Bagger...
I have the Pro Pipe Chrome on my Stage IV Bagger...
Looks great, I really wish mine was chrome. Only reason it's black is this pipe was on my buddy's street bob when he totaled it. Insurance let us put the stock exhaust back on before they took it. He intended on putting it on his next dyna but ended up with a road king instead. He gave it to me to put on my low rider and its been on there ever since. I can't justify spending the $900 on the same exhaust I already have just a different color.
From the sound clips I've heard and bases on looks, I'd rate my favorites as:
1. Supertrapp Supermeg or Big Mouth2. V&H Pro Pipe
3. Basani Road Rage (long muffler version)
Wanting them to be chrome, and not obnoxiously loud.
Also, got the new clutch cable from Speed Addicts and it fit perfectly. It was a Drag Specialties 72" and I was able to run it perfectly to the controls with the 14" bars!

It doesn't pay to spend that much to get essentially the same pipe...when I totaled my 2011 Bagger, (identical to the one pictured, but a 2011), the insurance company let me grab parts....got about $1,000 in parts off that 2011, that are now on that 2013! I had a V&H Power Duals exhaust with the crossover X-pipe on the 2011, but went with the 2-into-1 on the 2013...saves weight too...
