I ran a front once, and it was all over the road.. didn't like it.. And that promotion has been going on for at least 2-3 years now.. Maybe because it really doesn't sell well...
All me research on tires has lead me to believe that the two best and most used LR tires are the Scorchers and ME888s. Have had three sets of Scorchers. Now I am going to try the Metzlers.
I've been running Metzler's on my 98 for pretty near 20 years and they are a very good tire.. But I recently went to Michelin Commander 2 on the front and I got to tell you I love the way it goes down the road. Honestly it was a huge improvement over to Metzler. And for the rear i still run the Metzeler but soon will switch to the Shinko 777. I spin way to much even grabbing third gear it spins.. On my Dyna I have the Shinko on the rear and love the way it hooks up and have no issues at speed..
Burned off that crappy cheap $3.49 a gallon stuff for some premo $4.69 gas, lol.
I managed to get a short 44 mile ride in on Sat (3-5). First ride of 2022. I cannot wait to start putting the $5.00 a gallon gas in my bike. Should be some good stuff.
While we are talking tires can anyone point me in the direction of which 180s will fit on the factory rim? I know I've read it somewhere here but can't seem to find the thread on it. I think it's only 3 or 4 brands recommended to run on the stock rim width.
Went to Smokin Harley in winston salem this weekend and although they had almost no prices on any of their bikes I was shocked at the prices on the ones I did see. The one that stood out was a 2019 CVO Ultra for $42,000. I was thinking it was a tad high for a 3 year old bike but then I saw the mileage. 43,000 miles!! I was browsing online later that day and came across the same bike at another dealer same year and color for $39,000, that one only had 2,300 miles on it. Smokin Harley is definitely smoking something.

I had the ME888's on my Road King, and I put an 888 on the front of my LR.
The LR came with a brand new Michelin on the back and will need to be replaced soon and I will be going with an 888.

You can add the Bridgestone BATTLECRUISE H50 ... and there might be another or 2 since this Thread
